Eggs

Here are some eggs that I had to try.  Somewhere I learned that the form is not easy to master so I figured this would be good practice for spindle turning.

My first egg.  Yep, the form is not easy.  This was from a piece of firewood off my wood pile.  Turned out to be maple.

A while back we cut down a crabapple tree in our from yard.  This is a crotch that showed spalting and had some burl.  Once I started to turn it I saw that it also had bug holes in it.
